At what point is it no longer possible to do the side quests that you learn about in the city of Athlatka mainly in Chap 2?
I ask because I really want to push to get Imoen back, but if going on to the Asylum means that I won't be able to do all those many quests I have left undone, then I'll surely wait. |

It's my understanding that you can do them anytime.

My understanding is as follows:
You can do the side quests anytime in Ch. 2 (before paying Galaen) and during Ch. 3 (after you pay Galaen). However, once you move into Ch. 4, I don't think that you have a chance again until the end of Ch.6. |

Thanks. I suspect that it's best to do a lot of the side quests before going to Chap. 4. However at the same time I'd hate to get Imoen back and have her be many levels below the rest of the party because she's been couped up all this time while I'm out adventuring. it's a bit of a dilemma.

Talison,
Just curious, did you get your name from the Stephen R. Lawhead book of the same name? -------------------------- - Swanhild |

Slight Spoiler Here
Okay last chance not to be spoiled . . . . Here is the deal. Until you make a decision on who to pay and do all those quests, you can do the subquests. After you go to the Crazy Wizard place, you are unable to finish those other subquests until you can finish the underdark. My suggestion is to do them now, so your characters will be stronger for the underdark. But that is just MHO. BK |

Thanks. One further question: if and when you do all the sidequests and then get back Imoen from the Looney Wizard Bin, does Imoen's level increase in proportion to mine?

Don't know if this helps. I did a few of the side quests in my first game (nalia's keep, harpers, copper coronet) and when I got Imoen she seemed to be about the same level (of course I can't remember exactly what level she was when they hauled her away), but she was able to cast level 6 spells, which was the same as Aerie and Nalia.

When I got Imoen back she was level 13 mage. I told her to beat it because I didn't need her, but at least she was up in level and not stuck back down at 8th or so.
