I keep reading about people with more then one main character , our two that they have self made. Ho you can do this ???!!!

Just play on multiplayer game, then save, then copy the savegame to the singlegame saves.

You can't in single player mode. You need to go into multi-player mode and follow directions there. You can import your main BG1 character if you want to, however.

Oh yeah, when you read about people with more than one character it probably means they have started the game with one character and then either finished the game with that character or simply re-started the game and made a new character. A different character to play the game with. This would be a whole different game and they would not be able to use both characters in the same game.
