Hi, ppl. I posted a couple of messages @ this board like hmm... a year and a half ago. Then I lost my PC thanks to a thunderstorm (my SoA play disk was in the CDROM, of course... it went to hell as well) so I stopped playing SoA. (for good, I thought). About a week ago, I got my new copy of SoA + ToB, and started playing again.

It's amazing what you forget in a few months! My mage got killed by a forgotten trap, and it took me some 10 hours in real time (2 gaming nights) just to get out of Irenicus Dungeon... and I enjoyed EVERY step!! I'm a n00b again!!!!!

I finished SoA moments ago, and just got into ToB, but I'm having a problem with the Limited Wish option that's supposed to restore your spells like after a rest... it's working only for the druid/cleric spells (Anomen & Jaheira).

The mages (Imoen and PC) are not getting their spells back, no matter if the spell is casted by Imoen (after a potion of insight) or the PC (WIS=19).

Is this a known bug? Is there a way to fix this? I tried searching the board, but couldn't find any info... If it's been asked before, I apologize.

My setup:
SoA + ToB (Full Install)
Latest Official ToB Patch (26498)
Bardurdash FixPack
Ease of Use (some components)
Item Upgrade.

TIA

LD

IIRC the Limited Wish spell just clears all your spell slots. If you want to restore the spells, you need the Wish spell (courtesy of the ToB expansion)

That's when you cast Limited Wish with low Wisdom... Your spells are restored to how they were before you memorized them. With the option, "I wish that spells I cast be restored, that I might cast them again!" does not do this... but I'm not sure *what* it does.

Nope, the Wish spell doesn't give me that option. The closest one is "Greater Restoration on all party members", and it doesn't restore spells...

Wish does give you this option: "Make it like the whole party rested for one night" or something like this. I`ve seen it in the Final Battle.

The "rest" option does not occur every time you cast wish, even with high WIS. I'd guess that I get that option about every 4th time, so 25% of the time? I haven't really done any detailed statistical analysis, so there may be some error in my numbers... Hope you're not doing a no reloads game!

Mmmn... that explains it. I guess I'll have to go the "Project Image + Ltd. Wish" way.

Thanks!

Erm... just want to point out that there are substantial differences between...

Level 7 Spell, Limited Wish

and,

Level 9 Spell, Wish
