The Year begins afresh by the Chinese calendar!
Well, it's midnight in Dunedin and the fireworks are all going off downtown. I can see them from my window, not too bad, but not that impressive either. There is a large enough Chinese population here to justify state-funded celebrations. Hey, any excuse to get blotto. I'm outta here, make the Year of the Monkey a fine one!

Hey Aaron, haven't talked to you in ages.
Just yesterday though, I was reading some of the old jokes you posted on Pandemonium because I wanted to save them to my PC and they were still hilarious. Missed ya, don't be a stranger!
Happy New Year!

Ok, screw going out. My flatmates and I are just gonna drink at home tonight

Mel: yeah man! Missed you too! How ARE you doin' my dear?? S'been a while huh? Hope you've been taking care of yourself. We'll have to catch up on all the goss sometime soon

Wellard: Fruit-picking was awesome! An adventure and a half! My buddies and I lived in tents for five weeks straight, it was pretty rugged, but fun. Made some decent money, got a good suntan, lost a few pounds, met some awesome folk. Had a great time all-told. There's alot to tell, and I've got lots of photos. When I (eventually) get them scanned I'll post them on Stealthy's. If you really want to hear about it I could post a new thread or something. How've you been anyway?

sounds like the fruit-picking was worth it.

Awww Uncle Vasky
Those jokes were brilliant indeed. Like I said I was reading through them and got a great wave of nostalgic feeling washing over me
Would have loved to see the look on your face when you realised what I meant with the cobblestones joke.

How the hell have YOU been, my fellow admin?

Wait a minute, are you implying I was slow to get the cobblestones joke? I got it right away I'll have you know! But yeah the look on my face was half amusement half shock at what a rude girl you are hehe

I've been pretty well actually - no exams even though it's exam period, but I've got a lot of coursework instead - only 1 piece left to do this semester then I get errr... 1 weekend off - yay!
Still keeping up my martial art and enjoying it, and playing badminton and going to the gym - gotta keep the sport up. Also applying to do PhDs and it looks like I'll be accepted for at least one place (not that I need more than one ). So yeah, it's all good. How about you Mel?
