Wish I could do some gaming. With my broken computer and little spare time I'm getting the feeling I'm losing my addiction!

Heya guys! *waves*
I've had work experience this week which was fun. Working at the college near me in the Travel section. It's usually a trainee travel agents for students doing the Travel and Tourism course but all the students had left for the summer, so it was just normal people and college staff who came in. I did computer work mostly, and the employee report I got was unbelievable. According to this I'll be an ambassador(sp?) for any company, and I'm an asset to the school LOL I worked 10am till 12, had dinner till 1, then worked from 1 till 3 then I went home. Today (the last day) I worked 10 - 12, then went home LOL. I've been in for an hour and I'm SO bored. Trying to add some more songs to my iPod, but I can't find the USB lead. It'll turn up hopefully. *fingers crossed* [ 06-17-2005, 09:40 AM: Message edited by: Ivelliis ]

Only one thing to say, Wellard...
There is always a thrill with new toy- *ahem* new things we need in our lives... Forgot to mention one fun thing I did this week, I think. While in California, I had the chance to be near a Fry's Electronics. I've heard of it before, and never had a chance to go in. Now I know what they're talking about It was bigger than most supermarkets I've seen... and I'm talking about those superstore combo markets, where they've got food on one side and "real" stuff on the other. It was huge! I was like a kid in a candy store! You want mice? I think there were over 100 of 'em. Found one I've been looking for for the last six months Networking gear? Tons, from the major pieces to individual components. Laptops, computers... brands I never see in other stores. Even home appliances and office equipment, and music and movies... I'm glad there isn't one near me, or I'd be seriously in debt Go to check out, and there's one line... leading to some 40 cashiers. Each cashier has a set of lights, and when they're ready, they turn their green light on. Now *that's* designed to get people through as quickly as possible! It's a true geek mecca... and I'm glad I made my pilgrimage.

Yaah! I hate Fry's. The employees are obviously told right off that the customers are "the enemy." Have you ever tried to return anything there? Rank hostility.

Bah... you don't move through avatars until you only have 1 for a day. Sometimes not even.
Hi everyone. Johnny- No. I have my first exam today. Hopefully it should be easy, but I'll probably fail it. As long as I get over 20%, I'll still pass math so I should be fine. |

ROTFL @ "staff of crotch burning"! LOL, actually the staff just gives me extra hit points and magic (mana) but the nice little fireballs and explosive powder spells are all a trick of the hands... BWAHAHAHAHAHAH! I LOVE that screenshot, LadyZ!

Attalus, I've only been in Fry's once, so I haven't had the chance to return anything. Since the nearest one is hundreds of miles from here, it may be a long time before I have the chance I'll keep that in mind, though... I refuse to shop at Best Buy for slightly different, yet similar, reasons.
On a sad note, I received some sad news. At a technical conference last week, a friend of mine's eleven-year-old son passed away during the night. My friend brought his family with him to the conference so they could enjoy some of what Orlando had to offer. I've known my friend on-line for six or seven years, and this strikes hard. It follows less than a month after another friend's daughter died in an accident the weekend of her sister's high school graduation. Many of you will remember that our fellow Ironworker Animal passed on earlier this year. Cloudy, I, and others remember some of his wisdom in our sigs. This just strikes home to me yet again that this life is temporary. Please, give an extra hug to someone you care about today. In fact, do that every day. You never know when it might be the last one, for them or for you. *retires to a dark corner to muse and contemplate the fire in the fireplace...* *B* Looking for the Reload Game button in life |
