When you complete the quests in the underdark and are leaving you run into Githyanki, should I give them back their sword or kill them ? Any benifits either way or story line importance ?

I dunno - I kept the sword and instead I had a battle with them.

If you choose to fight the Githyanki you will acquire the only other part, the hilt.
