I managed to solve the problem - here's how: I just removed MSN Messenger plus via Add/Remove programs.

I never get any of these annoying small problems... when something happens to my computer it is with a big bang... I kind of wish I had these small ones instead...

I have been able to clean out Coolsearch every time that I have had it, and that has been on three different occasions. I googled the name and read what others have said about it on other forums and then I proceeded to clean it out manually...which does not take but a few moments. I have even posted onto this forum on how to do it, with links to my resources. If you want...I can try walking you through things that I do, if you want to pass me your phone number. I don't pay for long distance, so there is no trouble with me talking as long as you need.
Hey Larry, thanks for the info and offer! (I pm'd you) Do you have any idea what topics it was under here when you posted it? I'll search!

MSN plus? Xen is that something they offer to upgrade and you might do it without realizing? Or is it some other program?

My friend told me to upgrade "normal" MSN Messenger to MSN Messenger plus.

I think you owe your friend a knock to the back-side of his head.

You're probably right, but violence never solves anything. Still maybe I will do something to him... something evil...

No, really Mesenger Plus is a great thing, much more porsonalisation and options, and the fact that all your convos are saved automatically. It has a load of excellent features an smilies, and that Addware stuff you guys are talking about is an optional install, if you don't install it you lose no features of MSN Plus. Just read the liscence agreement at the beginning of the install...

I got plus with no visible ill effects. Should I still remove it?
