The forecasts say we may get some snowhere in the Netherlands as well. Looks like that snow Cloudy mailed me a while ago is about to arrive at last

Good morning, all. I stayed up too late again, last night. MagiK, did you read John Derbyshire's column on NRO today. Pretty sweet way to start the day.

Attalus! That link goes on the War Forum!!
Plus, it wasted a small chunk of my morning, as I read every available link provided to other - *gasp* - NRO articles. Boo to you for making me read the NRO. A trap most devious and cunning. |

Hi ya TL Penn and Teller Friday night addressed one of your pet peeves GM foods Was great and I loved it, youmay not be as pleased with it as I was...and to be honest it was a short segment so details were not as in depth as could have been.

I can only imagine, MagiK. The last time I will ever seek to watch Penn & Teller occurred when they were on Fear Factor. They came on as a group. Penn did all the work, and Teller was just a lazy a-hole the whole time. Even the host expressed his pleasure that Rudy from The Cosby Show beat them in the end. Penn seems cool. Teller is useless. (Did I get them mixed up? Hope not. You get the point.)
And, it looks like they could use a little edumacation on GM Foods. If they attacked the dietary concerns, they certainly missed the point. Good to see you, BTW. Off on a super-secret mission again? |

Naaa no secret missions this time I was given a 4 day weekend for going above and beyond the call of duty as it were So I was completely lazy Friday thru Monday.... It was a nice mini-vacation
Penn is the Big guy Teller is the skinny short guy. They do a first rate Job on the BullShit series. They attacked the leaders who allow millions to starve to death rather than use available GM foods to keep them alive....starvation trumps dietary prissyness every time. "Dietary prissyness." If that wasn't so damned funny I'd give you a Whackya. Well, I'll concede that point about starvation. But me, I live in a spoiled rich country where basic food is not a concern, so I can consider things like the environment. And, it is a privilege I enjoy exercising.
Did you know we still make and export DDT even though it's illegal here? We send it to places where cheap chemicals are more important that a fear of cancer (as the people really don't live long enough to die of cancer). Same principle applies. |
