Oh Larry! I am hoping that one about the trampoline is False!

Here's one from myself...one day we went on a field trip from school to a state park on a wildnerness hike. It had rained the day before and when we reached a very long, very steep, downhill path that was muddied, the student teacher asked in general if any of us knew how we could get down the path to finish the hike.
My best friend and I looked at each other and asked each other at the same time "You thinking what I'm thinking?" We both laughed and agreed we must be so we raised our hands to voulnteer an answer.
The teacher picked me first and said "You have an idea?"
"Yeah!" I said as I ran toward the top of the path, "Like this!"
I jumped, landing a few feet down the path on my rear end and slid through the mud to the bottom of the path with more than half the class yelling in delight and following my lead.
When we returned to school, we were refused re-entry into the building so we all went to my house, hosed off and had some lemonade and sandwiches before they went home.
The student teacher quit her job.

True or False?

Truth or Lie?

I must admit when I read this I thought it was False!

Moni, you were wrong on the first story, and right on the second one.
They are both true!

Moridin: true, false, true

Right, wrong, wrong
The first is true: Went up there at around midnight with a friend. Dressed in full camo and climbed through the woods, over the fence, and up behind the heads! The best view of the Black Hills from there! Probably in a few photos also, from the few tourists there (we could see the flash bulbs from the observation deck)
Second is also true: Same friend and I (he is a military guy) were staying at Nellis during a road trip. We went out on the tarmac with a video camera and still camera. Turns out that Nellis (at least at the time) is where the stealth bomber is based out of. Needless to say we lasted about 4 minutes on the tarmac before MP's were escorting us to the jail for a night of questioning and background checks
Third is false, although it would be kind of cool!

Ok, here's my story:

Back when I was Melusine's age (YES my memory goes back that far! )I was in the USSR for a semester of study. One day a few of the girls from group and I went with some Russian friends out to visit the seat of the Orthodox Church, a monastery in Zagorsk which is a few hours north of Moscow. To get to the monastery, we had to take an elecric train, then walk quite a ways through farming country. We spent several hours touring the cathdral and grounds and then headed back toward the train station.

It was a very warm, sunny day and we were tired of walking. We'd seen a lot of Soviet military trucks going by and one of the Russians kidded us (we had two male Russian friends who guided the trip), saying it would be easier if we had a lift from one of the trucks. My friends and I took him seriously and started trying to flag down passing trucks. We waved our arms, stuck out our thumbs, but none of the trucks stopped. Finally, dusty, tired and overwarm, I told my friends I'd get us a ride and walked onto the edge of the road, hiked up my skirt on one side, stuck my leg out into the road and and waved down the next truck to go by. I was just a little surprised when it slowed down and pulled over!

Three rather handsome young Soviet Army officers hopped out and started talking to us. We told them we needed a ride to the train station and soon we were packed into the back of the transport, chatting away with one of them. They had argued over who got to sit in the back with the American girls. HEHEHE Took no time at all to get to the train station and soon we were disembarking to the astonished stares of Soviet citizens in the area.

Ok, true or false?
