Hi everybody, I know I've posted this thread before and got many weird (and great)answers. But it's also 4am in the morning and I can't seem to get any sleep, so I'm bored to death.
Holy Mage Wah: bored Holy Mage Wah: death Heh heh, so just take a couple of secs to jot down ya favourite spell so that I can see what different strategies you guys have. YES, the spell you choose to memorise most determines your strategy so I hope you didn't memorise any old spells!!!! Also I have noticed many new people are joining this forum so it gives them a chance to say something that is nice and simple. My Spell: LV 1 - magic missile LV 2 - Mirror Image LV 3 - Melf's Minute Meteors LV 4 - Stone Skin LV 5 - Monster Summoning 3 LV 6 - Chain Lightning LV 7 - Fingers Of Death LV 8 - Abi Dalzim's Horrid Wilting LV 9 - TIME STOP (love it!!) |

just to be different
1-protection from evil-i like pit fiends 2-web 3-fireball 4-stoneskin-duh!/spiderspawn 5-animate dead 6-power word silence 7-finger of death 8-incindeary cloud 9-time stop I guess i play as a sub-type of sorceror, the subtype "summoner" I like to use my mage to summon monster guears to walk with me and take the monster's attention from me while my npcs snipe away from range. my other fav tactic, in close enviro, where sniping is not so hot, is to cast a web, which is a fast spell, let the creatures get stuck, then use combo of cloud kill and incindeary cloud to kill them off. |

I've never casted a limited wish before melusine. What do you get and what happens if you fail the spell?

When you cast the spell, a djinni appears and you may do a limited wish. As you know, there is always a chance that the wish is somehow used against you. For example if you ask that some monsters won't be able to kill you, the spell just kills you (so the monsters can't do that anymore). The outcome depends on the caster's wisdom. Therefore, you should only use this spell if you have Aerie (or if your own char. is a mage with high wisdom), since she is the only one with high enough wisdom to pull it off. OK so now the djinni will ask you if you want a one-time wish or a repeatable wish. Repeatable means that if you cast another LW you can ask for the same thing, if you choose one-time, you can never ask that same wish again.
I suggest you try it out for yourself; just reload after every option and choose another one (or just cheat a whole scrollcase full of LW heh). Some of the options are: to heal your party, kill your enemies (who are present at the time, if any), you can get a nice set of armour, some gems and gold, you can ask to become more experienced, you can get a chain contingency....etc. It's great fun to try out! |
