Horses for courses, a party has to have some versatility.
A human Paladin is what I base my party around. I like the chivalry of a Paladin. I guess that makes it my favorite class. My main Tank is a Dwarf Fighter. High Hp & some magic resistance & Strong, strong, strong. This must make the Dwarf my favourite Race. Second Tank Human Fighter Cleric. You need a 2nd healer in case your cleric is KO'd. Of course you need a Cleric, mine is an elf. I cant do without a rogue so I use a gnome & keep him out of trouble. He is a little weak but without him I walk into traps. I hadnt though to use a Drow as my mage because I try to stay away from inherently evil races. I use an Elf. But if a drow could travel with a Paladin? I might be tempted. Well can it?

In 3rd ed there are no race alignment or class restrictions. Make a Drow Paladin for all I care... Actually, drow paladins are a bit on the Uber side.

How about 3 Drow Paladins and a Gnome Rogue?
I just got the game a month ago and just put it in last night. Any newbie suggestions are always nice.

http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/cg...;f=23;t=001657 Meh, a tad on the uber side. A tad. I might get around to finishing it someday. It's tough to give newbie tips with no background check. What kind of party are you running? I know you have played other black isle games, so you know what you are doing more or less in terms of gameplay. For IWD2, mages/sorcerers are awesome like always, but IMHO what really shine are the priestly people. Paladins are really fun (duh, this is me talking), and clerics get a spell selection to rival the mages on top of combat capabilities NEARLY AS HIGH AS A FIGHTER'S! Post your party in a seperate thread and I'm sure we can bombard you with suggestions until multiclass options start oozing out of your ears. EDIT: \/\/00T! Drizzt! Thanks Marty4,
Sorry I took so long to reply. I thought nobody had posted here since me. My party is as above and I'll post a new thread.

I would go with the half-orc, barbarian/druid
A wild elf, monk of dark moon/sorceror A tiefling, priest of mask/rogue A shield dwarf, paladin of helm/fighter and an assimar, paladin of mystra/wizard though I think out of all the classes to play, druid is the coolest. Just wish the game had shamans instead of druids. |

I really like IWD 2 druids too. They have some interesting attack spells.
I'm not a big fan of the monk, because D&D is so item based, and monks miss most of it...

Dwarf Fighter, Cleric, Barbarian, or even Wizard.
