My girlfriend is playing a Rogue/Druid combo and would like some tips on playing this split level class.

Since this character is neither a dwarf or a drow, I cannot help her.

Any advice?

What does the rest of the party look like? I don't have a Rogue/Druid, but I do have a Monk/Rogue and a Druid/Cleric, so I can tell you at least one technique they use together.

I usually send the Monk/Rogue ahead alone, hidden. I then unhide the Rogue so that the enemies swarm her, and the Druid casts Entangle directly on the Monk/Rogue, thus entangling all of the enemies surrounding the Monk/Rogue. Naturally, it helps at this point for the Monk/Rogue to have an item that makes her immune to this, a Potion of Freedom, or someone should have cast Freedom of Movement on her before she hid. If you then have other melee fighters who have such an item or potion or spell cast on them, you can send them in to cut the entangled enemies down, use area effect spells like Fireball (which the Rogue should be able to avoid at higher levels, or you can just get the Rogue out of the area before hand), or naturally archers can just fire at will in complete safety.

This type of strategy should work for a Rogue/Druid as well, the character would just cast Entangle on him/herself instead of another character, and maybe would need to buff with Protection From Fire if the Wizard (assuming there is a Wizard) will be lobbing Fireballs at him/her, depending on how high the Rogue levels were in comparison to the Druid levels (meaning that if your girlfriend focused on getting Druid levels, the Rogue levels might not be so high for Evasion purposes).

The rest of the party consists of:

Ranger (Human)
Barbarian (Half-Orc)
Cleric (Elf)
Monk (Half-Elf)
Sorceress (Wild Elf)

and the Rogue/Druid is a Halfling

(if race matters)

She appreciates that tip about hiding, then popping out in the middle of enemies and casting a spell, so thank you.

The main question seems to be, though, pertaining to leveling up. Any particular feats/skills that should be concentrated on (other than the few specific to the individual class)? Something that might be helpful for the combined class?

Do not focus on any rogue feats, they don't worth bupkuss. Except maybe envenom weapon, that one is usefull on thougher enemies. Once she drops entangle on herself, she should morph into a wild shape and tear the enemies to shreds. Do not take feats for other wild shapes, but you could take extra wild shapes per day. When attacking in normal form, go for the bigger enemies, where the halfling's racial benefit should be most usefull. I don't know if this racial bonus is kept on wild shapes, but I doubt it.

Tell her to have fun with it! Rogue/Druids really weren't meant to be (in a roleplaying perspective), but are kickass...and they have some funky summons spells (great for that crazy HoF mode). The advice given in these posts is very useful, yes, so i shall add my own...have your sorc. cast imp. invisibilty on your rogue/druid (since rogue feats and sklls aren't too important except pick locks) then have it backstab the most poerful enemy. this allows for some downtime as invisible where you can spell away at little to no cost to you. funky, i thought...then morph to a powerful shape or cast beast claw (the former would give better results)
