Need Help completeing Tirdir's buried alive quest (spoilers)

Well, I've never been able to beat this quest! In all my games, I always find him in the grave, then get the piece of cloth, but then I can't get anywhere from there. Help me.

Go talk to the graveyard keeper for the next step in this quest.

I did, but then he just tells me to find a guy in red in the bridge district, and I can never find that guy.

In the bridge district I think he is near either the tavern or tanner's building.
Someone else may have to answer this because I cannot really remember.

when you go into the bridge district check on all of the wooden extensions(the wooden things sticking out of the actual bridge and you'll find him. talk to anyone you see on the wood. i don't no the exact location

At the southern end of the Bridge District outside of the last building, a man in red will be seen between the water and the building at night. Initiate dialogue with him and then the rest will take care of itself.

I believe he is only there at night (at least he was every time I have played the game.)

I think he's there during the day as well as I definetly remember finding him there during the day.
