Those of you who know me , hopefully see me as someone who defends and helps wildlife and animals when possible. Alot of situations that seem small can explode into a major problems and concerns. Such as feeding wildlife. Here is what happened;

I started throwing cheap white bread and seeds out for the birds last winter because of the vast amount of snow. Not much to eat for wildlife when the forest floor has 30 inches of snow over it.
Anyway, I noticed a single fox about a month later picking up bread scraps. Yes, I kept throwing out a loaf every couple of days. Now I have a family of 4 mybe 5 living a stone's throw away. Vote and tell me your opinion please!

IMO, it is not wrong to care for animals when they needit, I would have done the same, fi the foxesbug you then have them relocated, but know that foxes are great hunters and will keep most diease carrying rodents away

Well, for what it's worth I feel that nature takes care of it's own. Feeding wildlife is never a good idea, as they become dependant on it. Domestic animals are one thing, but wild animals should never be fed by humans.

I understand how you feel and care, but ask yourself how they survived before you?

ahh but you see, whengod made us, he put us higher than animals, so if they are hungry and can not find food, you just set back and watch them die? there are ways to keep the animals from becoming dependant on it, only do it once a week will help, but also putting it away from your home will help too, if you hide it, where the animal still has to hunt for it, they do not grow dependant on you

Again, they did just fine before we moved in.

ok, lets agree to disagree on this one,lol i am set in my ways, and could never see an animal suffer nor could i kill one, so to me thinning the herd is mans way of saying there are to many let them die by nature so we do not have to kill them are selves to make progress and take over the wilderness that they once called home...i know mythinking is not logical to alot of people, but i relate better to animals than i do humans

It started out as one fox and I knew she was there and spotted her often. Until two weeks ago and spring arived I saw the two pups and the old faded male. So you see my difficult desicion here.
Mybe they were meant to be but need to be relocated now?

yes probably, but have you tried putting the food further and further away from your home? hiding it so they have to search or hunt for it, to help them relearn not to be dependant on you......ps be careful if the male is around, they tend to be moreviolent after pups are born, because they are pretty much pissed that they no longer have their mates undevided attenton...hmmm wonder what other species this sounds like...............................

I agree, then yes if there are that many people around, call and have them relocated, all that would happen is that they would wind up bitting domestic animals, then they would be distroyed, and to know this, it breaks my heart, so yes call and have them relocated for their own safety
