As for the actual question being asked: it's easy. neither country has an offensively based military, so whoever invaded would get their ass handed to them (and the home side always has the advantage anyway). Both Australias and Canadas military are capable only of defending their own homeland (and what else do you really need unless you want to be boss of the world like america), and sending a few troops off every now and then so the USA can say their military campaigns are actually United Nations type events. ps. anyone invading australia would have a b^$%^ of a time. The thing in WW2 when the japs were coming south was, our army drew inland, meaning the japanese were free to land, and god help them from the wildlife if they did, lol. The environment here is our biggest weapon

G'day
(Guess wich side that greeting puts me on?) Australia would invade canada if someone told them to. we don't start wars just provide cannon fodder. And without a doubt we would kick them wannabee frogees all over the show...... UNTILL the world cup of whatever came on tv and we would surrender so has to get home in time to watch AUSTRALIA conquer the world. over a cold beer. But this begs the question as to why does US popular culture (films) never show Australia helping out in Vietnam? or do they get taught it was the US on their own at school over there? You are forgetting about NATO. If Australia attacks Canada not only the U.S. but all its members MUST defend them. This means 19 countries including US, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain and yes, Turkey (seeking revenge) against Australia, its 20 millions of inhabitants, its army of kangaroos and its professional sports.

Rhetorical question. Our, [ahem] 'titular' ruler would sail across and spank both our asses and send us to bed without milk and cookies. Failing that, she would arrange for half the British budget to be allocated for the national cricket team and give the rest to Canada to fund a strike team to regain that urn when the first plan innevitably fails.
A flying Ayers Rock would look pretty cool though. And just think, we would've already established tourist revenue in captured territory! [Edit: Oh, Davros. 'Constitutional' looks much better in print than [suppresses juvenile snigger] 'titular'.] [ 01-12-2003, 08:24 AM: Message edited by: Sever ]

Deathkiller, i don't know where you gather your information, but whereever it's from, throw it away. Tiesto is NOT from Australia, he's from Holland, Breda to be exact.
