What they've been saying around here is that it's punishment for Henry's handball...

Aussies out of the cup, together with Serbia. Germany and Ghana through to final 16. Guess i have to fly the flag for the Kiwis now. I only saw the second half of the match, but it was interesting. I think both sides were feeling the pressure. Fair bit of drama going on, especially after Cahill's handball in the penalty area which went unpunished. Can the experts offer me an explanation as to why exactly it went unpunished? I think Serbia might have some cause to be angry, not that it would have changed the outcome either way. Both sides would still be going home.

Italy looked like a team of 11 pregnant women labouring around the field in the first half lol. The 2nd half was a cracker though!! What was especially satisfying was seeing the Italians squirming and complaining to the referee about the time wasting and theatrics from the Slovakians. Karma's a bitch!!

At least Australia picked the correct team for the last match AND played to their ability which is all that can be asked for really. The second half of the match was a corker.

Fully deserve to be there too. France / Italy out and USA and Japan sail through to the next rounds - maybe the old euro / south america domination is failing
