Re: Panic!!
Quite understandable. This is one of the most significant major changes in one's life. That which once was for 18 years will never be again. But as others have said, it will be one of the best times of your life.

Re: Panic!!
..course I really can't comment. After high school I already had a job as an electrical apprentice. That didn't work out and I somehow ended up in sales.
I owned my first home at 24 years old. I'm glad I didn't have all that University debt. I actually paid off my wife's student load when we got married: 35k, Sheesh...

Re: Panic!!
You'll love it. Really.
I did, had some great years, made new friends, drank myself stupid (never got back from that one!), lost most of them again over the following years, learnt some stuff (how to live on £10 a week food budget - beans on toast and home-made beer), made newer friends, played games, had jobs, quit jobs, got new jobs, moved house, moved house again, and again, and again, found some of the friends I thought I'd lost etc etc Welcome to proper RL! And you can always talk to us - most of us have been through it already and, look, we made it out the other side. Hell, you're chances are pretty high compared to some of us - at least I've learned that sitting on a fifth floor, sloping, tile roof in the rain whilst drunk is survivable but REALLY not recommended Damn! I feel so old now

Re: Panic!!
I would like to point though, that I have a 12 grade education and a bit of college and my wife has a University degree and diplomas from College and I make more than double of what she makes.
The point is that it is helpful, but it's not the "be all, to end all" thing. ..looks like it might help in the trivia contest though...

Re: Panic!!
So, does that mean you're in uni tomorrow to get registered, check lecture schedules, find the nearest pool table etc?
p.s. stop staring at this thread - the answers are inside you.
