I could't resist and asked her why on earth she was buying all that stuff barely a month AFTER christmas, and i should have known the answer....because so shortly after christmas, prices are down 50%.

I bet her name is misses Scrooge.

Plugs Kakero bottom with a 20 foot Christmas tree (with pine cones attached)

"Look see Ironworkers, we have a new Christmas fairy on top of the tree!"

I heard a radio advert that was advertising a Christmas party. In June. Help.

As a proud Sales associate at Michael's Arts and Crafts, I must pronounce the following:

Let it be known that the first Saturday after Halloween is the beginning of the Christmas season.

Like it or not, if you don't have a tree, and intend to get one, the clock is now ticking!

Oy, you work for Michael's? I used to until about August this year when my Asst. Manager dropped the "t" and pushed me too far. (nobody liked him)
Used to be the Recieving guy, and I mean THE recieving guy, and they expect Sales Associate duties as well, etc. Our DM wasn't helping much either, but at least I didn't have to see him every day of the week.

You'd have to be an idiot to put up a live Christmas tree right now. By the time Christmas day came it would be a pile of needles on the floor LOL. Now, you've got your fake trees, but they never run out no matter what anybody says so there is no reason in the world to buy a fake tree this early. So either way, tree buying right now is not necessary at all.

Around where I live, they really promoted Halloween this year. Two very large Halloween costume/decoration stores opened temporarily in the area a few months ago. I will say, the kids that came to the door actually had costumes on, which was a change from the usual lazy ass kids I get that don't bother to dress up at all.

We've got a Michaels nearby but it seems JC Moore or whatever is taking over the neighborhood craft store-wise. I'm sure Christmas items are for sale right now! Imagine putting up your Christmas tree this time of year LOL. Gosh you'd be sooo sick of it come New Years!

Ah well, looking forward to any of the newest Christmas lawn ornaments this year and laughing at them as I drive by them. Seems each year brings more and more of those gaudy fan powered blow-up yard ornaments LOL.
