I'd like to, but how do you set up for that? My only multiplayer experience is on mplayer.

Don't bother with Mplayer. Go for a direct IP link as this effectively cuts out the middle man. You need to establish the type of game you want (friendly, co-operative or mercenary.... keeping and selling what YOU find for yourself.) Time zones are important to establish between yourselves and you MUST ALL BE RUNNING THE SAME VERSION OF THE GAME...ie...PATCHED or UNPATCHED. Don't go with more than 3 human players or you will get bogged down with dialogue and have trouble incorporating quests. With 3 NPC's you can cover a good deal of the game without constantly going over old ground again and again.

lets see. I agree that mplayer totally sucks. I could only occasionally get it to work. Friendly and Co-operative is the way to go. I'm east coast with the patch installed. I have a cable modem so anything internet I do will be fast. Finally, I got a Kensai\thief with excellent stats. Also very powerful weapons if I can import them.

If it's cool, I'd like to join.

I have a fairly well equipped level 15(I think) Ranger.

Hi guys.
If I can make a suggestion.

Yes you can import your characters and use them, we did......for about a minute.
The trouble is that you will wipe the floor with the opposition and you may well be of varying levels.

If you're going to do it I would suggest doing it properly from the start of the game. Agree with your fellow players on what class each of you will be. Roll up brand new characters and begin the game afresh. You will learn about each others strengths and weaknesses as the game progresses and you will be forced to discuss tactics and look after one another as if you were really there yourself. I highly recommend playing a multi-player game but would suggest NO Cheating with character rolls etc and doing the whole game through. Be prepared as it's a BIG game but it really is worth the time and effort. Try it...you'll enjoy it mightily.
