Well I did consider pointing that out, but thought you would know that anyway and might have been mentioning it to make a separate point, seeing as the thread was about songs that stick in your head! And I can understand why that song would run through your brain quite happily, it certainly does get played a lot on my internal jukebox.

Groj, I tend to agree with you on the points you make about musical taste. There is plenty of modern music that I really don't like, but equating that with 'it's crap' does a disservice to the work that went into producing it. Just cos I don't like it doesn't mean it's talentless shite.

Of course that's not to say that I appreciate talent in all music I dislike - referring to my comments on the 'Musical Hall Of Shame' thread about really bad cover versions of good songs in particular. Fine, cover a song if you're going to do something innovative with it, but to turn Tide Is High into a dull dirge (I mean come on, they've taken everything good out of that song!) shows a lack of talent and imagination IMO.
