Well, I killed Cet, completed all the quests, could not complete the assassin quest (Firestormed the rats... Hate Rats!!!) and now I feel empty... is there anything else to do? Or do I have to go to the shop and buy Baldur's gate II?

My deepest thanks to all those that helped me and to all those that helped everyone else!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YOu could play again!

Personally, I didn't like Balders Gate 2. Started it and took it off my machine after a week. Still many people seem to enjoy it. Perhaps trying the demo would help you decided.

Try playing again with one character. Thats what I think im going to do after I have finnished. Its gonna be a tough start with just a wizard, but he'll be one kewl dood by the end...hehe...."power rules" to have "maxpower" ultimatly rules......

maxpower: You want a tough start? Start with just a WARRIOR; no offensive magic when the Mantraps come around...

It can be done, btw, though it's not by any means easy; personally, anything to make this (ridiculously easy) game hard is worth trying...

Tortulho & Wyvern:
I've done just that. I knew I would finish W&W this past Sunday, so on Saturday I bought BGII. I hate to say that I spent more time installing the game than I've played it so far. I just can't get into the game! I think I've been spoiled by this game and now I like 1st person pespective games better. Now, I've played BG and IWD and enjoyed them well enough, but after Wizards And Warriors, these games seem non-immersive. I feel like a god looking down on the puny humans. Also the dialog is too small and you start in the middle of the story. I probably feel this way 'cause I didn't finish the first Baldur's Gate, so I really don't know what is going on. I guess I'll catch on eventually..... Where the heck is Wiz 8?

As for Baldur's Gate II ...

If you've enjoyed BGI and IWD, I think you'll eventually enjoy BGII, too. Personally, I found the 'game world' really impressive because it was created with much more attention to detail than the other two games.

The difference, especially when compared to W&W, is that it is fairly easy to get lost in those details. I have to admit that I haven't gotten past the third chapter (and am playing a lot more W&W and DiabloII just now because I don't feel like paying a lot of attention to details these days, too much work to do).

If you have lots of time and don't just play in the evenings, give BGII a chance (I love it when Jan Janssen tries to lure Boo away from Minsc ). If you can only play for an hour or two at a time, better go back and play W&W with yet another party.

Oh, and try to see the first chapter of BGII as a kind of preface ... the game really doesn't start to get interesting until you get out into town and get a rough idea of what's going on.

Just my opinion,

I guess that I can play W&W again, but not so soon... The main reason why I loved the game was because of the surprise and because of the exploring part. This is why I loved Tomb Raider I, enjoyed II, hated III and had no opinion on the IV. I want more exploring, so I guess I need new places to see and new people to meet....
I'll probably be back one day, meanwhile my deepest thanks to everyone in this forum!!!!!
