Default Trivia: Sci-Fi

Have we ever had a trivia-thread that focussed solely on sci-fi series and movies? If not, then I'm starting one now. The rules are the same as always. You guess the answer, you post the next question. Naturally, the first question is as easy as they come. I'll give you the names of the four most well-known Star Trek captains, as well as four descriptions. Try to match the right ones.

Names:

-Cpt. Kirk
-Cpt. Picard
-Cpt. Janeway
-Cpt. Sisko

Descriptions:

-Adventurer
-Scientist
-Diplomat
-Soldier

-Cpt. Kirk -Adventurer
-Cpt. Picard - Scientist
-Cpt. Janeway -Diplomat
-Cpt. Sisko -Soldier

Close, but not quite. You've got half of them right. Of course, it's a bit of a subjective question, but looking at the nature of their ships should answer it.

-CAPT Kirk -Adventurer
-CAPT Picard - Diplomat
-CAPT Janeway - Scientist
-CAPT Sisko -Soldier

And I never could really accept Janeway as the scientist. *shrug* or maybe I just don't like her

I just thought Janeway would be a diplomat as she became an Admiral as soon as she got back home, plus all those first contacts. But your right dreamer it’s all subjective, and Picard would make a better diplomat than her anyway

Aluph is correct.

Voyager was definately a research-ship, which is why they had so much trouble in the Deltra-quadrant. Picard was one of StarFleets leading diplomats. The fact that he captained the Federations flagship made his very presence an important symbolic gesture.

On a personal note; I can't stand Janeway. The Voyager-crew as a whole was definately my least favorite, when compared to other Star Trek series. Characters such as Neelix, Harry Kim and Chakotay really sunk the series. Thank god we had 'the Doctor'.

Alright, here we go:

Who was the only Imperial officer to appear in multiple Star Wars movies portrayed by the same actor (and who was the actor)?

Hint: He was an Admiral in Episodes V and VI

Right, Mack: Colley played Admiral Piett in both Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.

You're up!
