For my Paladins and Fighters, I often pick historical name. Like Tiberius or Justinian - both Roman Emperors.

I did do "Matthew Hopkins" for my Undead Hunter (Wizard Slayer may have been more appropriate but I wanted edge against the undead) - someone else used Buffy for this

I use a thesaurus to name my characters. First I think of a word or words that will relate to my characters and look it up in the thesaurus. I then pick the strangest and pleasant looking word and twist it slightly and voila! A name with meaning.

For example, Ignus Magus ----> Fire Magician

If not a Sorcerer, then a Paladin.

Due to my own lack of imagination, I tend to use names from Tolkien books (god knows there are enought to choose from).

no offence sigmar, but im goin on the assumption you play warhammer and like the empire, which i feel is the worst army you could pick because they have the access to the best items and everyone always goes "awww1!!! yeah!!! steamtank!!!! Yeah!!!!" which is boring, ive seen them used in 1500 point battles, which if theres only twelve is quite risky isnt it, im a high elf man myself.
My party was the original lord of the rings party, except i named myself strider (not aragorn) cos i prefer it and i led the party, so thats legolas, strider, frodo, gandalf (the white), gimili and sam.
