My strongest character so far, was my first ToB-character.
He was a Ranger, who had done all quests in the SoA-part, and was already in over level 20 before he came to the Pocket Plane for the first time.
He was proficient in Two-Handed swords, Longbows, Flails, Halberds and Daggers, IIRC.
I managed to roll a very good set of stats, plus that he had used the Machine of Lum the Mad:
19 str
19 con
19 dex
15 int
16 wis
18 cha (with the Ring of Human Influence)
His favourite weapon was Two-Handed swords, and became a true killer-machine with the Silver Sword and Gram the Sword of Grief.
His name was Mortaug (can you believe it!!! ), and came up to level 41 (using a lvl 44-tweak), and defeated his enemies with little problems.
Ahh, that was a super character...

Ok, before I fall completely in good memories, I would like to ask if you could share your strongest character with us. It would truly been a pleasure to hear about.

Ahh, Mortaug, the all-known adventurer roaming the Sword Coast...

Welcome to Ironworks, Mortaugh.

I'm still on my first voyage through the Baldur's Gate series. My character is Cerek Tolgar (surprise, surprise). I started him as a fighter in BG1 but switched to the Wizard Slayer kit in BG2. Cerek was a PnP barbarian and - as such - didn't particularly care for magic-users, so Wizard Slayer seemed like the perfect kit.

I honostly don't know all of his stats off the top of my head, but the 2 exceptional stats he has are Strength 20 and Dexterity 19. Both started at 18 in BGI and got bumped by the various Tomes (and yes, I did cheat a second Strength tome into BGII).

He also carries 2 non-standard items that I downloaded from Arundor's Abode.

A two-handed sword called Sihn's Soulreaver which has a 75% chance to kill an opponent on each hit (save vs spell).

Charon's Claw - a set of gloves that automatically turn ANY spell below 6th level back on the caster (except for Area of Effect spells like [i]Fireball[/]). The only disadvantage is that it also reflects beneficial spells (like Cure Wounds).

He has a proficiency in 2-hand sword, 2-hand weapon style, flail, bastard sword, and longbow.

He wears the Platemail of Balduran. This gives him an AC -6 without his shield. When he equips the Shield of Balduran, he has an AC -10.

He is currently 17th level and we just finished with the Asylum and Brynnlaw.

The game developed an infinite loop when we encountered the Githyanki ship, so I missed the Underwater City. I'm going to replay an Saved game to see if I can get to the Underwater City this time...if not, I will just skip the whole encounter and head back to Athkala.

That sounds like a very good character to me.
Very good equipment, in a high level... If you get or have ToB, he's gonna be a real slayer, even better then he probably is now!

My character is a half-orc barbarian named Karn. From his name you can tell he's not very intelligent, more of a hack-and-slash type.
His stats are as follows:
25 strength (Crom Faeyr)
18 dexterity (Gauntlets of Dexterity)
19 constitution
10 intelligence
14 wisdom
20 charisma (Blade of Roses)

No one can stand in his way. He dealt out a lot of damage. I have started playing the entire game over with just him. He also carries (for times of absolute need) a custom weapon I made called Artholas' Bane. This sword deals out 100D100 damage. I only use this at near impossible battles though.

Ahh the good old days of going through the first couple times. I own SOA and TOB, along with many of the little patch thingers to make the game more interesting at times. Anyway, my best character would have to be my Sorcerer... oh my god was he powerful. Some other people in this forum have described a Sorcerer's abilities when high level as nuclear, and let me tell you that is just about the truth. In TOB with Time Stop and Improved Alacrity... you are a one man army. When the Time stop would end all hell would break lose, I would have cast every spell I had during that time stop, and the area I was in would simply EXPLODE with magic, fire, spells, and all sorts of neat little graphics. I couldn't see some of my guys for a little while, but normally when it all clears up, I have about no enemies left to fight at all. This works especially well with that whole project image thing, which I didn't even try on my first time through. The race doesn't really matter, but I pick either human, half-elf, or elf for it, elf this time through, since I am going through it one more time, this time editing and all a bit.

I also have a couple other good characters, a swashbuckler who's fun, and a berserker... and mind you, berserkers, especially in TOB, are raw. His name was Hunter and he was a Dwarf, and I know what some of you are thinking, that that's not a dwarf name... but bah! He could have been raised by humans for all we know... With the Greater Whirlwind attack he took everything down.. and he already had like 19 strength from going through BG1. Assassins are also kind of fun, I had a female halfling one one time...

Definitely my solo Human Sorcerer, using the PRATI 'tactic', he basically nuked everything and anything that stood in his path.

Stats at end-game of ToB.

STR: 12( could have bumped it to 13 but unnecessary)
CON: 16( could have bumped it to 17 but unnecessary)
DEX: 18
INT: 19( could have bumped it to 20 but unnecessary)
WIS: 20
CHA: 10
