Location of NPC's to add to party

I was just curious the whereabouts of new chars to add to your party and what classes they are. Also after obtaining that special sword in the Naskell mines , do you ever meet up with the guy that can use it?

Any help would be greatly appreasiated.

Minsc is in Nashkell on the street in front of the Anmish soldiers barack he is a Ranger too
Edwin is in Nashkell too on the southern br9igde he's an evil conjurer but a very good one
Dynaheir is in the gnoll stronghold but you need to take minsc too free her
Xan is in the Nashkell mines on the same cave as the main guy there he's a Enchanter
Jaheira is in the friendy arm in can't mis her - fighter/druid
Khalid is with her - Fighter
Coran is in Cloakwood but you can't acces that till chapter 4
Viconia is in Palewood the map south of the bandit encampment she's chased but a soldier
Imoen will follow yu from the start
and there's some dwarf in the cloadwood mine

The sword you obtained in the Nashkel mines is a Moonblade, a special sword usable only by an elf/half-elf, whom is determined by the sword itself. In the game, the elf in question is Xan, who as Rikard pointed out, is also located in the mines (if my memory is right, a level below where you found the sword).
Other NPCs you can recruit are:

1. Sha-Teel: a pretty good Human Female fighter, except that she has a thing against males. - map area NE of Ulcaster
2. Garrick: a good-aligned bard in Beregost.
3. Eldoth Kron: an evil bard somewhere in Cloakwood.
4. Faldorn: a Shadow druid somewhere in Cloakwood.
5. Quayle: a gnomish illusionist/?? in Baldur's Gate bridge (north-west end).
6. Eldoth Kron's paramour, Skie: ?? class found somewhere in Entar Silvershield's estate.
7. Safana: a chaotic neutral thief found in the light-house map area.
8.... anyone else I've forgotten?

Thanks much for the info , Usually a lame question like mine gets flamed pretty hard, but not here. The info was very useful I debating on who to keep in party at this point , I will probably let Khalid and Jahiera go , since there stats really suck.

Currently i play a fighter/thief elf and use brandwen, Jahiera, Minsc, soon to get Dyheira, Imoen ( who i duel classed to conjurer) , and Khalid. It sounds like i would do better with Kivan. I hope i can find him in High hedge , i just completed the chicken man quest and didnt see him.

Taix crazy cleric who worships Cyric near the fisting flamers place. (you can't miss him)
And Yeslick the best danm cleric in the game is in the prison on the 2nd level of the clockwood mines.

Thanks again for the info, currently I got my main (fighter/thief), Imoen duel classed conjurer, Minsc, Khalid, branwen, and Xan.

My only complaint is that Xan has very low HP, but the two specialist mage combo works quite well. Perhaps ill trade Xan for Yeslick later. I have looked all over and found stats and listings of all the NPC's you can add, but cannot find Yeslicks stats . If any one has them i would appreasiate it .

When your in the last part of the nashkell mines and beat the main dude (I forgot his name right now) explore the whole cave. There is 3 parts too it, and in the top right part you will meet him. He is Zan and I think he is a mage that can also use this one sword. He is a good add to your party, I have always used him. If I remember right, I think I accidently killed him the first time through, so be carefull.
