Good point, Aleph_null. I forgot to suggest going to Trend Micro and running their on-line virus scan. They'll let you know what shape you're in...

Let's take it from there and see what happens next. I'm going to be out on vacation next week with limited access, but I will try to dial in periodically to see if I can assist.

Good luck. Let's knock 'em down...

From Aleph's post, you had a couple of 'em. Make sure they all got identified and nuked.

DX 8.1 should be fine... I ran with it for a long time. You can even upgrade to 9.0 (I run 9.0B).

Let's see how everything else turns up.

*edit* and thanks for the good luck wishes Leaving in just six hours... and no, I'm not sleeping yet

In the case of TSCash, you've to remove rather a lot of registry keys manually after killing the process. I'm not sure if any of the automated adware killers work with this one yet... check the link in my other post.

BTW, if ever in doubt just google the name of the process (if, for example, "bargain" gets a bunch of unrelated stuff, google "bargain.exe"). You'll get lots of info & removal instructions.
