Has anyone seen it yet...is it any good? I loved the first one, but the new one doesn't come out here until June at least.

I bought the DVD of the first one, and it came with a voucher to see the Return
The DVD had a special featurette of the "Making of the Return" and a lot of cool previews. I'm gonna go watch ot this week.

I liked the first one too. The Mummy 2 is out in theaters here right now (I think), but I'm not much of a theater person, so will wait until I can rent it and watch it at home. The previews though look pretty cool!

Story is a little tame and kinda predictable, but otherwise pretty good. The F/X are outstanding. I think they tried to push a few jokes though, but it's definitely watchable. I'd give it a B+. My only main problem with the movie was that they didn't use the Rock that much. If you plan on seeing a lot of him, get ready for a letdown. The kid makes half the movie. Course then again, they have the same actress from the 1st movie (The mummy's consort) as eye candy.

What a lie that was in the trailer saying "starring the rock as the scorpion king" probably saw like 10 minutes of him. Well at least he will actually be the main person in the scorpion king movie.

Whatever people say about the movie I loved the fight scenes. They were great. Used a variety of weapons and methods.

I am going to see it tomorrow at the matinee time, that way if I don't like it I won't feel like I got too ripped off LOL!
I am sure I will enjoy ti though, I saw the first one and loved the special FX!
From the previews I have seen The Mummy Returns looks even better than The Mummy in that regard.

I watched it Saturday night. Good movie. I do like the first one better. The fight scenes were great. I really liked that they had the same people from the first one in there. I can't remember their real names but the guy who played the mummy, his girlfriend, Jonathon, etc. Definitely going to add it to my video collection.
