I saw a post from Mozenrathe asking about bastard swords.
Rather than risk the wrath of the moderators - especially after today's rugby game - I thought I had better open a new thread to reply. The best I have seen is an acid bastard sword +9 on level 13. Be careful, it is well defended. it is also difficult to spot. |

This one is in the pit.
I don't think that's a spoiler as it is difficult to find. And anyone going in there will be distracted by some serious assaults. |

Ahhh yeah I know the one you are talking about now.
Though their is a spell that makes getting in and out of that area pretty easy. Hint: There is also an amulet some where on Level 13 that has this spell on it.

I have tried to build and tweak better and better tanks to cope with the pit.
Now there is an easy way! Still, suffering is supposed to make you stronger - not that I've ever been convinced about that. |

There has always been an easy way. Z cought me doing it once so Im not sure if you can still do it but its worth a shot and makes doing the associated quest pretty easy.

Pit? What pit is this? And to define: what would a claymore be under, anyway? *working on Samurai Jack's erstwhile ally build as well, more than likely Fighter/Weaponmaster strength-based.*

The Pit is behind the tower on Level 13.
Down towards the lower right hand corner of the map.

so I am going to assume that is isn't the Void Plane, but some place else? I may need two windows open in order to find it. As it seems I will never be able to create a character that specializes in the maul or the falchion (no matter how COOL!!! those weapons look), I should work with the weapon types I can to start with and expand from there. Perhaps a few unconventional character types should be using the "new and unlisted" weapons... Oh well, I will have to write out a list of my current characters being used on the server and start from there. Perhaps even start saving them to my own computer with all that cool equipment and then run through the Diablo module I have here...

its a bit further south from the void plane.
In front of it is a tower with a Drow Chick there who gives you a quest.
