Well, Dan Simpson says (2555, 3759) so you should have found it. Are you using patched BGI (not TOTSC), as that's had it removed.

hi from australia, (pacific region game) it isnt there in the unpatched version. there are others like the wand of frost in the naskel mine map, the ankheg armour and the ring of fire resistance, all there, but cant find the ring even with the exact co-ords hitting the l key. sorry otherwise, if you are a yankee, i guess, it will be there, under a fir tree with two boulders to the right of the drawbridge on the lower part of the map.
edit to add: check this guy's site: http://bg.davidlynch.org/secrets.html he has screenshots. [This message has been edited by Kitka (edited 09-01-2001).] |

My understanding is that the Tales patch put it back in, but this may be wrong. What I can say for sure is it there with Tales patched.

In my polish version there was no ring but I could find this place anyway. There is small group of stones (or one stone and sth). Sligthly N of stone there was sack for treaures - but was empty - it is VERY small so you has to be vert carefull and patient.

IMHO, I think it's kind of cheap to use the items you find in tiny little cavities, like the Ring of Wizardy, or the Ankheg Plate, because I know there's NO WAY IN HELL I would have found them if I hadn't gone on the Net and come across some blurb saying there's a secret stash at X=5724, Y=1402 or whatever. My party's quite strong enough without the cheesily-obtained gear, and if you're a decent player, so is yours.

Can you install the TOSC patch even if you do not have the expansion?
