Has anyone noticed the fact that as a Wizard/Sorcerer at 31st level you get 12 "High-Level Abilities", but depending on your alignment (the Planetar spells) you can only ever pick 5?
I just bought SoA/ToB, so how does the game resolve this issue for real high-level characters? |

I play multi-player games and imported my players later in the game from
earler games so I have three players above level 36 and my Mage has five in his spell book but has all 12 in his special abilities slots and two or three of each in fact so does my cleric she is level 38 and my Druid/Mage is level 34/39 and has 5 in each book ------------------ The Blade Makes The Man The Man Made The Blade Death To All That Stand In Their Way! Druids can reach level 34??? I thought the experience to reach even 15 was ridiculous.

Perhaps you guys don't understand. For a single-classed Wizard character, there are only five 10th level spells you can select, with one based on alignment (the Planetar). If you stay as a single-classed mage, what happens with the other 7 slots, since you can only pick spells once (and only need to right?).
Are the 10th level spells run as special abilities with a specific number of uses per day? And is there any difference between the Wizard having them and the Sorcerer? I thought they went into your 9th level spell book and were accessed as spells. If they are run as special abilities with a specific number of uses, I just answered my own question while typing this, didn't I? Doh. [This message has been edited by Kaleban (edited 10-12-2001).] |
