I don't know how many of you have been following this particular trial, but figured I'd post it. Guilty of 1st Degree murder for his wife, 2nd for his unborn son (which I don't get but there it is). So he now faces the possibility of the death penalty.
I'd post a link from Court TV, but since the verdict just came in, the site is down shortly, probably for updating. |

Not sure what you are saying there Spirits Forever, but here is a newslink about it (Court TV site still down):
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2004/...in641756.shtml The odd part about it was Peterson's attorney wasn't even there! After a trial this big, that has gone on for months, what attorney would miss being there for the verdict?! |

SF is trying to say that an unborn child is not alive, something that is a much bigger discussion, and shouldn't take away from the discussion about the trial in this thread (although I disagree w/ SF).
As for Peterson being found guilty: AFT

Well she was at least 8 months pregnant, baby was pretty much fully formed, I'd say it was alive at that point LOL.
But I agree Mr. KrunchyFrogg, do not want a discussion about that sort of thing in this thread, just want to keep it about the case, the trial, and the verdict. Oh, what does AFT stand for? Sorry, unfamiliar with that particular abbreviation, must be new LOL! I do try to keep up with them all.. |

I agree with the verdict and am glad of it finally coming to a conclusion. Now to see what sentence he gets. How long will that take? Another month or so?

Glad they didn't end up a hung jury and convicted him. The evidence and his actions were just overwhelming IMO.

Well it's good to know Fox News got this verdict correct. I am happy to see the slime get his just deserts, but my stomach was turned tbe the way that Fox covered the events. They had arrested and convicted him and done their own theatrical re-creation of events - all on the day he was taken in for questioning by police as merely a "person of interest who was assisting with their enquiries". It is nice to finally know that in this case their pre-judgemet was the correct one.
