If I understand you correctly, I have the same situation on my computer at work. Log on to AIM first, and then you can come back to IW.

Maybe I'm on the wrong bit of the site. Now I can't find my account! There's just lots of things saying New User, and different chat rooms etc. I can't find my account that I set up at all. What do I click on? Tis'nt obvious (or maybe I'm just being totally dense?

AOL's Instant Messenger service. Allows you to chat back and forth in real time.

Hey Fljotsdale! It's AOL's version of ICQ or MSN msgr or Yahoo Instant msgr

All the instant chat applications. Really nice for talking to friends and family instantly without a phone or in voice chat (if you both have speakers and a mic) which is very nice! I chat with folks in England and on the other side of the US all the time. Saves phone bills, that's for sure!

Thanks, Dio! Doubt if I shall use it then - I like time to compose my replies! Makes me seem smarter than I am, lol!
