Hey, wanted to say thanks for all those that helped in my defeating the evil Cet Udwa whatever ... Now, I must ask advice in my next adventure.
I've heard from a few that Bauldor's Gate II was excellent, but that Bauldor's Gate I was horribly hard. I loved Wizards and Warriors and I liked Might and Magic VII, right up until the mechanized underwater spaceship. I also liked Diablo, but prefer Turn Based action. Therefore, I'm asking for suggestions on what you expert players would think a gamer like me would enjoy after Wizards and Warriors Thanks for the advice, and I hope this question is OK to ask in the forum. Well, aside from the obvious PLAY W&W again -
You might consider Wizardry 8! Check the Wiz 8 board here on the IronWorks forums for more information! Wyv |

Hi!
I haven't played Wiz8, but from what I've heard from other players it should be a great game. Another game that holds its rank very well is Wiz 7 (that game is a classic "oldie but goldie" - made in 1994). Also, DW Bradley is the genius behind all three of them. BG 1 and 2 are also good choices. The plot is more developed in BG, but the AD&D rules are quite different, as is the gaming interface. Here in Sweden it's possible to get hold of a box containing both BG1, the expansion pack, Planescape Torment (which really is a great game) for a very cheap price. Good luck // Jazzid

Playing Baldur's Gate II without having played the first one would be a sin! Hehe.
Definately play BG1 with the expansion, then move on to the sequal then ToB! As a side note, what operating systems do Wizardry 7&8 use? I have a horrid time getting DOS based games to run, but after hearing the comments would love to give em a try. Thanks, Dart |

I'm currently playing Wiz7 gold under a Win98 shell. The original version is a DOS game, do if you'd like to play it you'd have to make a DOS-boot disk, and probably fiddle around with EMS&XMS memory. I remember what problems I had to get the original X-wing game to run under DOS on my old 286-computer. Wiz7 is a FAB game, but the gold version is very buggy, so make sure to install the patch! I don't know if any of the games will run under WinXP, but the guys on the Wiz8 board should be able to help you! Cheers // Jazzid

If you do choose Wizardry 8, prepare to become an addict!
I have just started it and I cannot stop. The old Might and Magic series can be found cheaply these days as well.

I'm up to Cet's pyramid, and expect to knock him off shortly (assuming I don't have bugs in the system like I've read some have experienced) and was also wondering what I would play next... I enjoyed the old Heroes of Might and Magic series too..
This has got to be the most absorbing game I've played in ages, finding myself still playing some nights as the sun began to rise!! It worries me to think that I could get so addicted to another game.. life is so short... still, it's good for passing the time when waiting for pay day and you're broke!!
