Well, I have taken a huge break on this game, and Just went on a quick jaunt today to keep my intrest. I'll get back full time on this someday, but for now I am playing other games (gasp! Sacrilige!)
Update: Sherincal I'm a bit rusty, but Sherincal poses no problem for a party built around magic. My monk used mirror image and then went toe to toe with the half dragon, while my paladin took on all of her underlings at the same time (!). My mages and cleric made short work of Sherry with a flurry of magic missle, fire arrow, and more magic missle (and some magic missle, too). Once they were cleared, my sorcerer single handedly took out the slippy slope guards with a magic missle to the switch and a few fireballs here and there. Hopefully I'll continue this on some time, but I'll leave it at that for now. |

I hadn't played this game in over a year and a half, but Marty's posts got me feeling all powergamy and convinced me to give it a go again. Anyway, I rolled up my own new party last night:
1.Aasimir Paladin of Helm (may take 4 fighter) 2. Aasimir Cleric 3. Drow Sorceror 4. Tiefling Thief (1) / Mage 5. Wild Elf Barbarian 6. Deep Gnome Monk (directly from Marty's post) So I played about a half hour, then lost power and everything but the initial autosave. I think I'll keep the party as is, except for the type of Cleric I have (which I can't remember). Which cleric types are preferred and why? I usually went with Lathander in the past for extra healing, but kind of want the best offensive cleric class magically. And feel free to offer suggestions on the race/class mix, but don't knock the Wild Elf. I won't change her and need the barb to get the map later on through the wilderness. I always hated that part. |
