I personally roll for a minimum of 93 stat points in BG 1 every time.

I like to roleplay the son of a God

Why would it make a difference if I had a low WIS if I were playing BG2?

SPOILERS!!

Dont

Look

Or

Get

Spoiled!

BG1 has a series of tomes that improve 1 stat 1 point permamently. For some reason, though the programmers put in 3 tomes of wisdom. therefore you can get 3 extra points in wisdom! That's what Six meant.

Edit: If your only playing BG2, then it doesn't make a difference, but u mentioned playing BG1 and then importing. So depending on what your doing the relevance varies.

Later!

Intelligence is good to be over 10 for another reason too: Illithids. With an int of 11 you can survive to of their brain-sucking hits, as with int of 10 you would be dead.

Yeah, yeah, I know there potions such as Potion of Genius in the game, but you might not have them at hand when you run into these son-of-a-bitches.

Those stats are beyond fine... they're, in fact, wildly excessive.
Not that I do any differently, mind you, it's my cheese for not being able to engage in PnP-style subtleties... frankly, I agree with the other guy... what you've got now is kind of like a "show class" Great Dane... a physically perfect, beautiful physical specimen, without a thing between its ears to bother it...

Personally, I feel those tomes are overpowered, especially when you use your BGI char to import into BGII. BGII has no permanent stat enhancers, so my guess is Bioware concurs on this. Getting +18 (19 when races come into play) on stats is just wicked.

Well although there's no tomes there still is certain instances were you can increase your stats.

I appease both my roleplaying and my powergaming sides with this system:
 • At no time do I ever use the (+) or (-) buttons to move points from one stat into another.
 • I can hit Reroll as many times as I want.
 • When I see an attention-grabbing set of stats appear, I write it down.
 • When I've written down 10 sets of stats, I choose one of them to be my final stats.
 • Put these stats on the character in creation, using Shadowkeeper if necessary (such as getting the STR modifier exactly right).
That's how I rolled my Cavalier this morning, with stats of
128) / 17 / 18 / 11 / 14 / 17.
Kickass stats, sure, but I got them on a natural roll!
