Actually I thought his response was pretty lame, but anyway . I just didn't find your explanation very compelling - I want to hear the most convincing suggestion. Lauren's work thing sounds reasonable, and the car thing, although they're all quite young so you would think if they were all meeting before they drove somewhere together it would be a weekend-type deal because they'd likely be working.
