I am stuck in one of the lower levels of durlags tower, the level just past the chess game, I have cleared everything but there is a final door that I can see but can not get to. Durlags ghost says that when I understand the road that leads away I will return. What is up with this?

did u get in the room with the carpet that if u step on it throws lighting bolts in you? in there u must click in the bed to teleport. i say that cause that room gave me a hard time to find it cause its oppossite from the ghost of durlags wife and it isnt easy to find the entrance.
