My computer is so screwed up. Whenever I go into every other website, I see the website for two seconds, and then it says: Page cannot be displayed. And then, there are links for advertisements below: Page cannot be displayed. I need help for this. I am about to trash this garbage.

Opera and Mozilla are alternative browsers that are less vulnerable to this kind of problem. (Some will say they are in fact invulnerable to it. Mind you, some people will tell you the earth is flat)

The problem is probbaly that you are infected with malware of some description. Standard solution is to run the programs adaware, spybotSD and a virus scanner to clean most of the nasties off your system.

Okay. One word. Mozilla.
Or, 3 words, Mozilla Firefox 0.8.
I only use IE when I cannot achieve operation with Firefox, @ 25% of web sites are micro$hatf only. That way, you will get their crap.
I would say check your firewall, but once you start using Mozilla, you won't need to. Ya see, it blocks all of that crap for you.
Here:

Is you system a wintel product? If so go ahead and trash it, I won't mind.

Reset your IE settings back to default. It sounds like you're trying to run it through a proxy.
