And Roberto Carlos said that they only needed to play at 40% of their ability to beat Turkey. Looks like it's hard for them to even play at 30%.

Well the first send off was deserved - though I thought the ref should have flashed a few yellow cards at Brazilian defenders who wouldn't stay back the 10 m at free kicks, and the second red card - Rivaldo gets the overacting award of the year - way to get hit in the hip or knee then fall over clutching his face - totally pathetic, what a loser .

Turkey played great, but one goal keeping blunder and a couple of failures of temperament - pity, they showed real promise.

Some talk from Martin Tyler and the Aussie commentators that Rivaldo could be charged and suspended on video evidence - is that at all likely - have they changed the rules to allow retrospective bookings??

What a disgraceful job of overacting Rivaldo did to get that dude sent off. Sure the dude shouldn't have kicked it to him but is he a wuss or what? At first I thought someone in the crowd had thrown a coin or something at him. Maybe they should have called the stretcher on and stretchered him off the pitch for getting hit in the head with a soccer ball. I mean look at him!

Someone better call for an ambulance...

He has taken much worse than that while standing in the wall for free kicks - throw the f***ing book at him I say - briging the game into disrepute like that!!!!!!!!!

It was horrible to watch... That referee should get glasses... I'm not even sure he was a referee, probably just the waterboy who they dressed up.
Either that or he is a BIG Brazil fan...

Come on if you are a referee you don't have to help Brazil to win, they are good enopugh on their own...
