I heard today that an Aussie middle-school boy was thrown out of school for bringing a picture of a knife to school to share with his friends. Talk about no tolerance! I thought I had heard the worst when the kids were thrown out for playing in the playground using their fingers to imitate a gun, but to be suspended for a picture? What has become of this miserable world?

Was the teacher afraid the kid would paper-cut somebody?

I suppose that biology class will have to be removed from the cirriculum, unless all the bio labs are about plants. Also, all scissors in the school will have to be removed, along with staplers, pens, pencils, chalk. etc. Zero tolerance means that everything that could be a weapon will have to be removed, including books. Why books? Didn't you know that a little bit of knowledge is dangerous?

That's one of the reasons why I hate teachers.

I...no, that's it, I can't think of anything else to say, so I'm gonna leave it at that. Laughable. Pure stupidity at its highest peak.

You're right. I am sure that I could kill somebody if I wanted to by buying a Pepsi can from the vending machine, drink it, the tear the aluminum can into a shaped weapon that could cut somebody's throat. Or I could jam my pencil though an eye.

For the criminally minded, anything is a weapon. In fact, some martial arts can teach you how to make anything a weapon! Will kids be banned from schol if they are taking self-defence lessons after-school?

A person that wants to kill somebody, will find a way to do it. Suspending kids because of pictures in magazines is not going to help.

I think this is getting out of hand... you could fart on someone's face and they could choke and die from the lethal gas and you wouldn't even be holding a weapon!!!

Just put more controls on violent video games and this problem should lessen because younger people don't understand what exactly killing is...
