Blunderbuss and i have been planning a roleplay together. We've spent the last few days discussing plots, etc, and are finally ready to start.

[NOTE]Me and blunderbuss are BOTH dm-ing, and also have a character each, who are both vital to the plot.

[BACKGROUND]Things were dark in Larone at presant. The church was hiding something, and wouldn't say what. Becuase of their silence, the city of Larone was under seige, by a true fiend, of Half-elven blood. His army was after the churches secret, and wasn't going to give in until it got this secret. The half-elves name, is Naflgar. Currently laying seige to the city, he wouldn't stop until Larone lay in ruins around him, and the secret was his.

[CHARACTERS AND FACTIONS] Your characters are in one of the many factions. You are most likley at least a seargant. Everyone in the city is called to arms in these dark times.
My Character, is Legionaire. He is the Champion Knight of the White Willow, serving in many battles, shedding blood, that of his own and that of others, in the name of the Church. None in Larone can match his abilities with a sword. He is never seen out of armour, and wthout his sword.

Factions within the Church:

[The Order of the White Willow] are a group of Knights sworn to fight for the church. These are the knights who go on holy crusades, instead of just sitting around in Larone. They are now fighting along side the Militia of Larone to defend against Naflgar's army.

[Militia of Larone] are the army of Larone, just bog standard army boys. They also serve under the church.

[Priest guild] are a guild of highly skilled fighters, not necciceraly undder the church, but serving the city in genral, helping out where they can.

Evil Factions: These all serve as part of Naflgar's army.

[Borknager clan] Are vicous, barbaric monsters. Orc blood, vile temper, they could rip a man in half with their emmence strength. They favour axes, and no armour, but their lack of protection in battle doesn't hinder them, alot of attacks simply don't hurt the incredibaly tough jugganaughts of destruction.

[Burzum Tribe] Are smaller and scrawnyer than the tall, muscular Borknager, and are only the size of a halfling. They are however, awsome archers.

[Tvangeste Clan] are nomadic sorcerors. They are elven blooded, from the far, mysterios east. When endangoured, they become incrediably powerfull, capable of deystroying whole armies.

Now i leave it up to Blunderbuss to post his char, fineshing notes, and the start of the game.

A bit of background:

Quote:
“Tóraké! Come forth! Come forth! I command you!” A deadly silence followed; silence. The men stirred and a quiet murmur began rising through the crowd like an approaching wave. The siege had lasted for so long now; too long. Everyday the same.
The men would assemble before the church’s great doors, carved with intricate designs of monsters and beasts. Monsters and beasts to ward off evil spirits. They were working. No matter how they tried; they just couldn’t get in. And once all were assembled, the general would cry up to the balcony high above his head, he would shout the same every day. Everyday the same. Today was no different.
The men didn’t know why. Why it was the same everyday. Why the siege continued. They didn’t know why. The general had a hidden motive. Only he and one other knew about it. He and Tóraké. Tóraké was leader of the church. Leader but unjustly so.

Things wouldn’t be the same much longer though. The men had been told. The city. The city of Larone. The army would invade. The Church wouldn’t hold out forever; it couldn’t.

And so, just like every other day; the men returned to their fortress just outside the city. They weren’t stopped; they couldn’t be stopped. The Church said so.

“Issue 3.4: Army of the city will not attack any human, dwarf, elf or any other living thing without direct instruction from personnel of the Church and/or clear signs of aggression towards any citizen of the city from the human, dwarf, elf or any other living thing.”

Tomorrow. Tomorrow things would change, the battle would begin; the carnage would begin; the death would begin. Someone would fall. Someone.

OOC: And so it begins...

IC:

Olòrin Blunderbuss

Olòrin looked out across the landscape, stretching to great distances on all sides. Directly ahead of him he could see them coming. An army of vast proportions; blurring the horizon. The horse, upon which he sat, grunted and stamped his feet. A sound echoed by the vast cavalry unit behind him, ready to charge on the wizard's signal.

As the invading army got within twenty metres, the wizard yelled, a yell which echoed across the plains, "Charge!". The cavalry burst forward, as Olòrin sat, with staff pointed towards the enemy.

As the unit burst into the enemy ranks, the staff unleashed a deadly surge of fire, consuming many soldier and the wizard charged forward to join the fighting men.

To his left, he knew Legionaire would be preparing to charge. He had little time to consider this as he pummeled into the enemies; blocking strikes from all sides and then spinning his outstretched staff to remove those men, only so they could be replaced by more.

He could see his own men fall on all sides and others fleeing. "Legionaire!" He cried as he used his staff as a flamethrower and sent more of the vicous crowd to their grave. "legionaire!".

Happenings:

The battle raged. Legionaire, and the group he was leading (the players) were loosing their nerve. He knew he had to lead them to save Olòrin from certain detah by Borknager, but he had a unit marching upon him, too.

Legionaire

"Alright! Brace yourselves, men! We must overcome these quickly, Olòrin can't fight alone!"

They battle raged, and legionaire's small squad triumphed. Legionaire led his men to the priest's aid.

Legionaire ran with his men, towards the battle. He drew his sword, and waded into the Borknager mass, swinging.

This is now time for the players to make their moves.

Calthak Hasnar

"Dispose of the enemies of the church!" - he shouted at the knights, soldiers and mercenaries fighting next to him.

Then a common soldier came up to him, dragging one of his companions behind him. The second soldier was obviously wounded.

"Let me help him." - he said and knelt down beside the man. He had a large gash in his side and Hasnar could see he was not going to make it, yet he acted as if the man had a chance and made movements as if he were casting a spell at him.

"Take him!" - he shouted at two soldiers, who took the injured, and soon to be dead soldier away from the battle.

Hasnar sighed. He had lost count of those his healing magic could not help. The battle was claiming many lives.

Doing as he was command he charged forth into the mass of enemey soldiers spiked ball twirling. Coming to high point he let his mommentum carry himself up and over and jumped into the air coming down into of small mass of enemey scum scattering them with his weapon. He caught one unfortunate by the head, which promptly stuck to the spike's so the Borknager ended up going for a ride with weapon. Using the extra weight he proceeded to bash the Borknager around.

Striding outward towards his foemen the mysterious elf drew his blade, a runed sword ornately carved with words of power, and prepared to charge into the borknagers, when he realised what they were, and dropped into the fetal position crying like a small child, gripping his sword and rocking on the ground. Amidst the whimpering of the scarred elf could be heard "Not again... please by the grace of Milwahn, not again..."

Calthak Hasnar

He saw the man, whom he had previously remarked a few times in the streets of the town drop to the ground as if he had a nervous breakdown. Calthak brought out his warhammer and brought it down on the head of one of the Borknager, who was attacking the man.

"We need to get him out of here! Someone come and help me!"

Olòrin Blunderbuss

Having being aided by Legionaire. Blunderbuss broke away from the crowd so he could take men on individually. Not far from him where he stood, beating men off, he could see Calthak friend and colleague within the Church. he stood defending a kneeling man from the advancing blows of his would-be killers. Blunderbuss hopped back onto the horse which he had abandoned,

"Hold them, Legionaire. It won't be much longer now!"

The wizard galloped down the line of combatants and grabbed the kneeling man as he rode past, pulling him onto the horse. Blunderbuss bent over to the horse's ear, whispered something and then jumped from the animal as the horse galloped back towards the town, the limp man left to take the journey.

"Calthak, we can't keep this up. We're going have to move back to the next line of defence."

Blunderbuss said as he beat back more enemies. Seeing Calthak's acknowledgement by his nodding head,

"Retreat!" He cried, "Retreat!"

Calthak Hasnar

He nodded at Blunderbuss and then brought the warhammer hard down on the shield of one of the enemy, shattering the shield. He made a few steps backwards and looked around. All around men were retreating, some in order, others as if running for their lives. A drop of blood from his warhammer hit his boots. He looked up and saw the last parts of the retreat organised around Legionaire. Calthak watched them retreating slowly and then he himself joined them, swinging his warhammer if any enemy got close.
