Where can I forge items at Port Last and Luskan?
How much of those magical ingredients (of every type, how much logs, slaad tongues etc.) should I keep so when I'll find a forger I won't be caught empty handed? If anyone know a link of a good full walkthrough I'll be thankfull for sharing...

I don't believe you can forge weappons or armor at Port Llast. I don't know about Luskan, I haven't been there yet.
The slaad tongues, skeleton knuckles, etc are used in forging magic items such as wands, etc - only if you do a special quest to find the Books of Imaskar. Go and speak to Eltoora in the magic shop for more details. |

It appears that you only need the forge items that you needed in chapter 1. In chapter 3, there is a forge again, but it's just stronger versions of the same items (I wish there were new items...). Therefore, you need adamantite, diamonds, fairy dust, gargoyle skulls, ironwood, and that's about it. By the time you get to chapter 3, you should have more money than you'll ever need, so you don't need to make items just to sell. Only keep components for items you think you'll actualy use.
The other items are used for magical forging, and require the ability to cast mage spells. Therefore, they are limited to two or three classes only (this stinks IMHO). You will occasionally need other items in dungeons for certain conjurations, but the game is good about providing all the items needed for a dungeon within that dungeon. |

I'm still not clear as to where in Chapter 1,2, or 3 where you can forge things.. is it a forge you use yourself or is there a smith you pay to craft things for you -a la BG1 and 2?

In chapter 1, there is a smithy in the Core called the Shining Knight or something. You need to successfully persuade the frontman to give you a pass to the backroom. Then you talk to the guy back there, and he'll give you a book of recipies. To make an item, you place the appropriate items in the forge, and tell him to make it. In chapter two, there is a similar process in Eltoora's lab (the portal behind her) for mage type characters. In chap. 3, the fighter type forge guy is back, in the trading post building, and uses the same process as chap. 1, but with the same items, just upgraded.

they dont really make mage specific items they are more for fighters than mages. mages get their stuff from eltoora. i found the greatest weapons for single and dual are. astral blade for single handed use. and then reaver heavy flail for 2 handed use. both deal an exceptional amount of extra damage at the beginning and both have an even better upgrade in chap 3. astral blade requires magic longsword and a diamond. and the reaver is a "HARD" one it required dragon blood and magic heavy flail.most weapons require you to forge them with adamantite and that kinda sucks cause there is only 3 pieces i know of in the game. and there all in chap 1.
