Ever have one of those days?

You know, one of those "Calgon, take me away!" moments.

A "dont get too close, I'm about to explode" moment.

A "don't look at me, I'm glaring daggers" moment.

One of those "Yes, Virgina, if Santa were here, I'd shake him till his belly shook" moments.

A "how can my co-worker be so (fill in the blank)" moment...

One of those "Did he/she actually SAY that to me?" moments.

A "YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING!" moment....

Ok, so you all probably see I'm experiencing some...err.. bit of stress, Yep, it's one of those days... LOL I swear it's been one of those weeks and then some, around here. Yes, indeed, I'm having one of THOSE days! An "Oh PLEASE! Someone tell me why it's wrong to shove a computer/co-worker/administrator/copy machine out the freakin window!" days.

My co-worker, (we'll just call her "C" cuz my teeth gnash if I spell out her whole name at the moment! LOL ), my office equipment, other colleagues around the office, and life in general are just conspiring to make me scream, yes, that's right!!!.. They are in an elaborate complicated tango...a wicked plot to disrupt my good and kind nature....my happy, ordered, perfect life... YES! YES! A CONSPIRACY I TELL YOU!!! *frothing should be ignored*

I should have known it the day my printer started choking on paper and refusing to produce my memos....yesssssss my preciousssssss....and then...oh yes.. I should have seen it coming the day my co-worker said she was going to start taking a class and she got to take an hour and half out of the middle of the workday while I cover....yesssss it's all so clear now....and then when my computer started giving me the 'must check for errors- run scandisk' notice every morning... OH I SHOULD HAVE SEEN IT! ....and now a faculty member takes some letterhead (dept stationery) and a few minutes later he's grabbed my arm in the hallway (yes, I WAS on my way to the restroom!) and is yelling that the fax number isn't ON the stationery but I had nothing to do with it...it was my co-worker....AHAA! Now it's so clear, so crystal clear...the CONSPIRACY is afoot and they've got me cornered....but no... I just shake the guy off and say "I DIDN"T DO THE LETTERHEAD!" BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Yes YES OH YES! I'm fighting back...

Told C I was tired of repeating "NO, she is at a class and will be back at 2:30" to people every other day.....will argue with my printer or have the tech guys check it....and heck, if I gotta run scandisk... I guess I have to.... sigh...

I could fill a few pages with stories from my office... LOL, but I think I'll leave this rant here....and let you all add to it if you like. Or just snicker and go about your business...yah.. do that...*narrowing of eyes* then we'll know who else is in the conspiracy to drive me over the edge... hmmm.. yesss my pretty... must be YOU and your Little DOG, too!

I'll manage to ignore the memo where C spells retrieval without an i and the grammar is that of a 6 year old who speaks swahili as their mother tongue and she includes me as one of it's creator's.....or the dirty looks she gives me because the boss gave her a "DEADLINE" *gasp*! I'll even keep using the elevator, despite the fact that it DOES stop btwn floors now and again.... hmmm, you think?...no...not the elevator....*narrowing of eyes* hmmm.. yes.. well, it MAY be a coincidence...but then again....

Ok, so this was tongue in cheek...but sometimes I just want to tear my hair out...and if the most recent cause of my stress were close enough, I'd cheerfully yank his/her hair out too! I've just decided that I need to laugh...and if I can laugh at myself, my day to day 'problems', and stay smiling long enough...they don't seem so bad. I wanted to share a bit of that with you. I sincerely hope you can all laugh with me. It's alot of fun and it sure helps one cope with those everyday irritations we all experience!

I just wish I had more free time to hug my honey...

Anyone else having one of those days? Tell us about it.

Geez Cloudy, take a chill pill eh!

No.

No, stop looking at me like that.

I didn't do it!

I SWEAR I'M NOT PART OF THE CONSPIRACY!

NO, STOP IT, IT HURTS.

AAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHH.

*squelch*

Yes, i think i know how you feel. As do many others on this board. But doesn't it feel good to let it out?

Believe it or not, this 'always' makes me feel better. So for Cloudy, and those who haven't posted here yet;

Brian looks utterly depressed and in despair at this final desertion. Suddenly, a perky voice from the cross behind attempts to cheer him up.

Mr. Frisbee III (Eric Idle)
Cheer up, Brian. You know what they say.
Some things in life are bad
They can really make you mad
When you're chewing on life's gristle
Don't grumble, give a whistle
And this'll help things turn out for the best ...
And ...

(The music slides into the song)

... always look on the bright side of life
(whistle)

Always look on the bright side of life ...
(whistle)

If life seems jolly rotten
There's something you've forgotten
And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing,
When you're feeling in the dumps,
Don't be silly chumps
Just purse your lips and whistle - that's the thing.
And ... always look on the bright side of life ...
(whistle)

Come on.
(Others start to join in)

Always look on the bright side of life ...
(whistle)

For life is quite absurd
And death's the final word
You must always face the curtain with a bow
Forget about your sin - give the audiences a grin
Enjoy it - it's your last chance anyhow.
So always look on the bright side of death
Just before you draw your terminal breath
Life's a piece of shit
When you look at it
Life's a laugh and death's a joke, it's true,
You'll see it's all a show,
Keep 'em laughing as you go
Just remember that the last laugh is on you.
And always look on the bright side of life
(whistle)

Always look on the bright side of life ...
(whistle)

I remember seeing the Monthy Pythons singing this song, their eyes full of tears, at the funerals of one of them.

It was so moving...

ROTFL! Yes Sever, it does help to get it out and that's why I posted this!

Hi Dreamer and Masklinn, nice to see you both! Sorry, Dreamer, I'm not a 'Life of Brian' fan but I can appreciate some of the humor.

Hey Claude! LOLOL You're just saying that because I'm holding this very volatile can of diet Lemon Coke, right?

C'mon Everyone, you know what kind of day I'm having... Let it out.. pour out your own silly/serious rants about work or school ....show us the conspiracy to ruin YOUR day.... LOL

Arion- sounds like you can really use that break!
