OMG. Cloverfield was amazing... [NO Spoilers]
All I will say is this: "Probably the most intense movie I've seen in more than 10 years". Amazing!
Only issue for some--they won't like the camera shaking like it was camcordered--but picture quality wasn't camcorder--was HD clear.

I loved it as well.
I think some people are expecting it to be the typical action type moive. I for one love the way it ended. So different to many other movies.

I hear there's a warning for people prone for vertigo, that some get motion sickness from watching it, so there's an official warning out now!

Same here, I may just wait for the dvd since the cinema screen would make any case of induced vertigo alot worse.

Saw it a couple of days ago, not a bad movie. The camera thing makes me feel like I'm one of the actors. So intense! What I saw was camcorder quality, not very clear at all.

Personally, I was a little underwhelmed by it. It had some cool effects, but the story line itself was rather predictable, unfortunately.

Re: OMG. Cloverfield was amazing... [NO Spoilers]
Some parts I just found funny, being as I was paying way too much attention to the movie.
The marine passes the actors by on a stretcher with no chest, and you think "How did that happen?" and then "We've got a bite!" Taken behind a screen and *pop!* and you think, "Oh. That's how that happened." Apparently I'm a tad morbid, because I found that rather funny. |
