No direct experience, but be sure to do the math. You will generally pay substantially more than list price for any item in a rent-to-own scenario.

Regardless of the quality of the item you rent...

Couldn't you just buy underground/black market (if it exist in your area) ? It's much cheaper.

It's also very illegal. I don't go in for buying stolen goods. And last time I checked, we typically don't discuss that kind of thing here. Right up there with warez, and pirated IP.

Appealing as it may be, I think I'm going to drop the LED option for now and go for a standard LCD. Samsung has a nice 37" 1080p 60Hz, found it at both Brandsmart and tigerdirect for the same price. and about $100-200 less than an LED 2 inches smaller.

Though the price is showing $.11 cheaper at brandsmart they're no longer adviertising no sales tax...

Ok my saving has brought me within a couple months of a TV. Latest digging about has brought this little item to my attention.
Here's my question. At 32" is there a noticeable difference between 60Hz and 120Hz? This may have been covered already, but I couldn't find the answer in this thread.

I would suggest a bigger screen if you can spare the space (and money). Also, 32" screens were pretty much the "flagship" size... and there may be many of them in local thrift stores.

I concur on going to a larger screen. 32" is kind of small imo.

For my room, I currently have a 27" CRT, and it's not a large room, so I'm not looking to go over 37". the 32" screen just seemed to be the best deal so far. A 37" is another possibility, but may look a little cramped in the space I have.
