OK, for about five days or so I have been unable to play, view of in any way experience any flash files. What happens, is that Quicktime tries to load them, then when it does, just displays the broken icon. I've been clawing at it for a few hours now, even Deathkiller tried to help but to no avial. Anyone has any idea how to get things normal again?

You can reinstall flash, or you can find a flash file on your system, right-click on it, and choose Open With. Pick Flash and check the box that says Always use this program to open this file.

Basically, it sounds like Quicktime hijacked the file extension for you.

I've tried reinstalling, no luck.
And this happens only with flash on websites, the ones on my drives open OK. Quicktime is not associated with flash files in the Firefox Plug-ins section, nor in it's own open list. I have no idea what's causing this, or how to get rid of it..

There may be some other extension besides the default. Try reinstalling Flash and see what happens. Or taking every extension associated with quicktime and deleting it... and then when you get to a web page with a flash critter on it, you should get prompted for the association.

IIRC Firefox has it's own extension of flash from the "plug-in" center. Quick-Time is a hijacker, and then cannot co-operate within the Firefox environment. That alone made me switch to Opera.

After a few reinstalls and things possible and not, this is what I got.
Tell me that isn't weird! Shockwave seems OK, Flash seems OK, but the above vid for which I know to be flash shows the quicktime broken icon. Anything good I can replace Quicktime with? I've ehard about Quicktime Alternative, think it will help in my situation?

Try completely uninstalling quicktime and see if that puts things back to rights. You may have to reinstall flash again after it.

Every time I get rid of Quicktime, things keep asking for it. I am now without quicktime, reinstalled Flash, installed Quicktime Alternative, and when I go to newgrounds to view or play, it still asks for quicktime. Why is this only happening on the browser and not on the files on my computer? I think there lies the catch...
