Wretched is correct about the quest not being loaded into the game. There is a quest buried in the game code that begins when you enter Lower Dorn's Deep (which used to be Durdel Anatha). The ghost of a fallen paladin called the Voice of Durdel Anatha is searching for the person(s) responsible for destroying the Alliance between the Dwarves and Elves; he is currently being controlled by Brother Harken. The reason many of the deep gnomes have had their tongues cut out is that their tongues power the Voice of Durdel Anatha. If you learn of Nym's "extracirricular" activities and report your findings to the Voice, he will surrender his mortal remains to you. Take those remains to Sister Calliana in Kuldahar and recieve a *big* xp reward, in addition to an item (maybe the Glory of Suffering, the Armor of the Penitent, the Cloak of Burdened Spirits, or the Robes of Agony).
