I did a search for this, and found one message. The person just reloaded
a pre saved game. Unfortunatly, I am at the end of the game in Easthaven. I don't have a pre saved or even a auto save. I can't seem to find this file on my computer or a game disk. Everytime I click level up for my paladin the game crashes. Any suggestions? WolfgarJr ------------------ ADnD. It's the only game for my family. |

Welcome, WolfgarJr!!!I searched both my hard drive and the game disk for HoW, neither contained this file. Unfortunately, I have no advice to offer. Is this the file the error message refers to?

Yeah, the actual error message was:
"An Assertion failed in ObjCreature.cpp at line number 15890" I just loaded, unequipped all weapons then saved again. Then when I reloaded the game an tried to level up it worked, so now I am really confused. I don't have any idea what happened, or why after trying several other things, that would make the error not happen again. Weird stuff. It did work and I beat the game after all. |

Yeah, IWD does funny things liek that. You fixed it when you saved and reloaded. IWD probably just had a problem with files in memory or something else specific to the last loaded save. making new saves and reloading cures some broken items as well (like with the ring of free action killing the boots of speed).
