Lost Items

I just received a private message about someone losing an item at an Inn. This was supposed to be fixed in the patch, but some people report that the unpatched version runs fine.

At some point I will need to collate my notes on creating items. Around late 2007 I attempted a systematic decryption of the W&W game files. I was not as successful as I would have liked but I was able to accomplish a few things.

I don't currently have W&W installed on my computer so I lack the D6Item.dat file.
189 Master Key ?Runed Key?
For a Windows game the number would be recorded as "189,0".

Edit:
the D6Item.dat file is found in the patch.

This should be the hex for Master Key

189 in little endian hex is:
BD 00

Oh this is neat that you're back at the creating items project!

I learned how to do many and still have my notes on those but I figured out the codes for those items that seemed to get lost.

I uploaded a revised W&W Items spreadsheet that will contain all the item identified names in hex form, suitable for immediate pasting into a save file. This will cover cases like items being lost at an inn. It can be found below.
