What is maximal amount of attacks per round?
In IWD manual, there is written 5, regardless of haste or any other spells.
But it doesn't seem to be true. My fighter have crossbow with 4 attacks. If I cast him Haste, it seem he can shoot 8 times per round.

So?

P.S. Can obtain character more than 8 mil XP points by any way? (patch, difficulty settings...)
For example multiclass Fighter[30]/Mage[30] can exist?

It is possible to get Fighter[30]/Mage[30], or even Fighter[30]/Mage[30]/Thief[30].

You'd probably have to play with only one character in your party to achieve this. EDIT: and you may need to play on the "hard" difficulty, or you could end up "only" in the upper 20s.

Also, it does seem that you can have more than 5 attacks per round. I have a 13th level fighter with 5 PP in bows who already gets 5 ApR with Messenger of Sseth. With oil of speed, he shoots much faster.

For the Fighter[30]/Mage[30]/Thief[30] with one character the mage would be end up at level 27 or 28, the fighter and theif will get to 30 no problem. I know because I did a solo with Fighter/Mage/Cleric and the mage class ended up several levels behind upon completion. A solo Fighter/Mage should probaly reach 30/30.

Galdur,

I have not personally verified it; but have it on good counsel that the maximum number of attacks is 5, and that this is a hard limit. So I would interpret that to mean that your ranged attacker with normal 4 ApR should only get 5 ApR when hasted (although I am not positive of this). Bummer. Use Slow, instead.

Galdur, does the character screen actually say 8 attacks per round, or does it just seem so?

Attacks:
I was wondering myself on the attacks/round. My guess is that, when hasted, you get all your ammo off FAST at the start of the round--there is a certain bow that comes with haste built-in (plus an extra attack.) There are still only 5 attacks, but they are over before you blink if you're hasted to the brim.

Levels:
HoW has a point cap of 8 million, but it's really a level cap. I do believe 30th level can reached by each profession of a triple class character (for example)...but they would need almost 24 million points to reach it--quite a lot if splitting it between 6 other characters (Approx. 144 million points would be needed.)

Having fun with the math above:
You would need to kill 51,429 Cold Wights (2800 points each) in Insane mode to get that triple class maxed out with a six-pack of adventures! [Note that all classes will hit 30th level before the 8 million is reached for each of the individual triple classes.]

Without the usage of Haste/Improved Haste, the cap for ApR( Attacks per Round) is 5. However, spells and their ilk can raise the cap above 5 to a maximum of 10.

Roboghost, that is why I like to play on HoF( Heart of Fury) mode. Cold Wights give a whooping 7600XP each on HoF mode.

XP on HoF is calculated as such,

(Base XP * 4) + 2000

Due to the x4 multiplier, the XP gains on later levels is INCREDIBLE.

Good question! I am not too sure about QuestXP, and IWD is currently not installed on my desktop, so I can't check it out. Should be pretty simple to figure out though... just start a game on Core and do the Sea Nymph quest, then re-do it on HoF and see the XP difference.

It seems, that number of attacks will increase from 4 to 8 (after hasted). It is not only animation, because enemies really get all 8 bolts and take damage from them.

So maybe in manual is error. The maximum number of attacks is 5, but by magical meaning can be doubled (haste).
